The history of Circula begins in 1955 with Heinz Huber in Pforzheim, the watchmaking heart of the Black Forest. For more than 60 years, it has been Their goal to produce extraordinary, high-quality, but still affordable mechanical watches. Refreshing, independent design, excellent materials and precise watchmaking are particularly important.
The watch tradition of the Huber family dates to 1926 and started with the foundation of the watch and jewelry wholesaler Huber & Co in Pforzheim.
In the general mood of optimism of the 1950s, Heinz Huber also decided that he wanted to try something new. He no longer wanted to only trade watches and jewelry, but also to design and manufacture watches of his own. He then realized this plan in 1955 and founded the watch brand Circula, which he named after the circulation of the balance wheel in mechanical movements.
Circula experienced a renaissance through the founder’s grandson, Cornelius Huber. His parents gave him the first Circula watch from 1955 for his wedding, equipped with a hand-wound movement from PUW Pforzheim. Always enthusiastic about watches, he decided that day to take on responsibility for Circula and to advance the brand as an independent company.
All Circula watches are Made in Germany, as they are developed, designed and produced in Pforzheim using traditional craftsmanship. To regularly offer something special continues in the SuperSport diving watch, released in 2021. It combines a unique construction including a real super-compressor function in the case back with an independent design and was developed together with watch fans from all over the world.
Klaus-Dieter Huber, son of the founder Heinz Huber, supports his son Cornelius with everything that has to do with the family business Circula. Thanks to the vision and passion of Cornelius Huber, the Circula brand has been carefully modernized and offers discerning watch fans high-quality watches with an independent design. Several timepieces are inspired by successful models from the brand’s past, like the diving watch AquaSport, which was also developed together with the watch community and is now available in the 2nd generation.
